Bookmark

Bookmarks are the 'make' this week on ABAA. I like to read a fair bit, so they always come in handy.
I used various papers to cover the card and then distress inked it. Added a bit of meshy stuff (hubby gave me a huge roll of it as he uses it for work) and then added my stamped images. The stamps I've used are Lavinia Stamps, A Tim Holtz one and the bee (if you can see them!!) is by Anna Griffin.
Finally I embossed it with crystal embossing powder all over.
Thanks for looking. x

Metal Frame

On Saturday I went to the Make It Show in Farnborough and made this frame in a workshop by Jennie from the Stamp Connection. It's actually the same colour all over (just hasn't scanned too well). I attended the workshop with a couple of forum crafty friends Alison & Gillian. Was great fun.

Metal

I bougt a cheap notebook last week and decided to make my own cover and use my BIA to put it all back together. I took a piece of cardboard and spritzed it with glimmer mist and gesso then added some gold acrylic paint.
I stamped my 'Mona' and embossed it and used some more cardboard covered in gold paint to represent metal. Hope it's not cheating!!! Then thougt I'd better add something made of metal so I added the jigsaw piece.
Thanks for looking. x

TMTA Rock Stars

I stuck my image from a magazine (because she had spiky hair!!) on my card along with some music paper. I then used the Clear Tape technique of sticky tape onto newspaper and lifting the print onto my pic. Then it was coloured with alcohol inks and my wording on mountboard.

ATC Wednesday

I've only just found this challenge blog so thought I'd give it a go seeing as it's a Free theme this week.
Covered my card in a page from a book then covered it in acrylic paint. Then added the extras.

Fat Page

This is my first Fat Page for a while and as I had fun the other day doing the Bandana Technique, I thought I'd stick with that. All stamps on here are by PaperArtsy.

Do I Look Pretty?

I made this canvas which fits in with 2 Challenges this week.... Alter a Canvas on BAA and You've Been Framed on LotsToDo.
I finally managed to find some smallish canvasses after months of looking and off I went. I painted the backside of the canvas with acrylic paint and then added some meshy stuff that I had. Using a Adirondack inkpad I gave it some colour then in various places I added some distress crackle paint.
Finally I added my bits and bobs. Am really pleased with the way it turned out (much better than the rubbish photo that I've managed to take of it, lol)

Keys

This is the theme this week over at LotsToDo Challenges. I used a piece of skirting board that we had left over and sanded it a bit before adding some distress crackle paint. I then added my embellishments and picture.
Sorry about the bad picture.

Peeled Paper

On 2cre8art, Peeled Paper is the technique to try. I decided to make a tag and then stamped and distress powder embossed the image. I stamped my image onto card and coloured her in using Distress inks and then covered her in PVA glue. Once dried I stuck her down and then added the circles using white acrylic paint.

Bookmarks

These are for a swap that I'm taking part in on LotsToDo. After seeing my friend Sams' Bandana Technique ones I thought I would do some myself.
Thanks for looking.

Ruth

I bought some old photos and cabinet cards a while ago. This photo has written on the back of it: Ruth aged 1 year. 1916.
There are a lot of kind people who put photos on their blogs for people to print off and use so I thought I would do the same.
Hope you like her. x

Wednesday Stamper...Angels

For my tag I used scattered straw/walnut stain/aged mahogany distress inks rubbed on my mat and spritzed with water. Dragged my tag through it then dried. Then I spritzed some distress re-nker and perfect pearls over it for the glimmery effect.
The little cherub stamp at the top and bottom was a stamp sent to me ages ago from the US that I forgot I had.
Thanks for looking.

I used Dusty Concord, Scattered Straw and Faded Jeans Distress Ink to colour my skinny and then used various stamped images.

Beer Mat Box

Pretty In Pink

Nancy, very kindly let me host this week on Gothic Arches
I chose the theme 'Pretty In Pink' mainly as I have 2 daughters and as you can imagine, they have a lot of pink things :)
I created my arch using Once Upon A Time paper and then added my music paper and my image.
Finally I used some of my gorgeous pink flowers (that I love).

Check out the all new Gothic arches site. Looks fantastic!! x
